GINGIVAL WOUND HEALING RESPONSE FOLLOWING PLACEMENT OF A LIGHT CURE DRESSING WITH AND WITHOUT BLUE M®GEL AFTER GINGIVAL DEPIGMENTATION. A RANDOMIZED SPLIT MOUTH STUDY

Background: In todays world pigmentation of gingiva not just has an impact on esthetics but also creates psychological negativity.Esthetic awareness dental patients extended to include requests gingival color modification.Different treatment modalities which have been reported bur abrasion, scraping, partial thickness flap, cryotherapy, electrosurgery. However, pain and healing are the two drawbacks associated with post operative discomfort after procedure can be catered well use a newly developed oxygen releasing gel ie. Blue M® Gel light cure periodontal dressing. Method: A total 10 randomly divided into groups were selected for this randomized split mouth study. Gingival depigmentation using scalpel performed followed by Placement dressing (Barricaid®) in10 anterior sextants in Group â… Application oral (BlueM®) before placement â…¡. Wound Healing Index at day 7, VAS Score (Pain) 3 GI & PI 7 &14 evaluated both groups. Results:There was no significant difference clinical parameters recorded various time intervals between Conclusion: The underneath did enhance following depigmentation.
